How Long Does It Last?
Permanent makeup does not wash away or smear, although it will soften over the years. (depends on lifestyle, usually 5+ years.) The skin naturally exfoliates which causes gradual fading. UV rays will cause permanent makeup to fade; always wear sunblock when outdoors. Retin A and Glycolic Acid products will fade permanent makeup as well; do not apply directly to treated area. Blonde or extra light brown colors may fade sooner than darker colors. It is typical to “freshen” color every two to three years. A touch up appointment will be scheduled two weeks after your initial appointment to reinforce the color.
